Making a Difference
CareForward is a new charity on a mission to empower care-experienced children and young people with knowledge of their legal rights. While we are just starting out, we are developing programs, resources, and mentoring opportunities to help young people in care understand what support is available and how to access it. Our goal is to make legal information clear, accessible, and youth-friendly, giving children and young people the confidence to speak up when no one else is speaking for them.

Rights Made Simple
We aspire to develop a children’s book that makes legal rights easy to understand. Our aim is to provide this resource to social workers, schools, and other care professionals so that children in care can access the information and support they need.
Legal Rights Workshop
We aim to run interactive workshops in schools, care homes, and community centres to help young people in care understand their legal rights and learn how to advocate for themselves.

Mentoring Programme
Our mentoring program provides volunteering opportunities for young people who may struggle to gain work experience or build professional connections. At the same time, it supports care-experienced children and young people by connecting them with trained mentors who can explain education rights, leaving care rights, and other important legal information, giving them guidance and confidence as they navigate their care journey.
Digital Resources
We are developing online, child-friendly and youth-friendly resources to help care-experienced children and young people understand their legal rights and access the support they need. These resources will be clear, engaging, and practical, using simple language, illustrations, and step-by-step guides. They will cover important topics such as housing applications, education rights, leaving care support, health services, and other essential rights.
